AN ONLINE community newspaper has been named a winner by The Northern Echo.
The Bowburn News website, set up by Gary Hutchinson with the help of The Northern Echo's CommuniGate programme, provides stories, pictures and information about the County Durham village.
It has been chosen as CommuniGate's Pick of the Month for August.
Mr Hutchinson has won a pair of digital binoculars, donated by Darlington firm Sales and Marketing Services.
CommuniGate editor Andrew Hutton said: "The site has been chosen because we feel it makes excellent use of the CommuniGate facility in providing a focused and entertaining community service, offering local news, views, photos and community interaction."
