TEENAGER Deborah Johnson has won a regional heat of the Camping and Caravanning Club's Young Achievers Award.
The 15-year-old, from Northallerton, who first camped when she was six-weeks-old, impressed the judges with the time and energy she spends with youngsters, particularly those with special needs.
Although committed to her studies, she is involved in outdoor activities and gets involved in ecological and recycling initiatives as well as working part-time.
The finals will be held on August 30 at the club's National Feast of Lanterns on the Suffolk showground.
