DURHAM diabetics will get a talk on an exercise referral scheme at their next meeting.
Diabetes UK's Durham group will meet on Tuesday, September 9, at 7.30pm, in the Diabetes Centre at the city's University Hospital.
Dr Gillian Hawthorne, consultant community diabetologist and clinical head of service at Newcastle General Hospital, will talk about a scheme in which GPs refer diabetic patients for exercise sessions at leisure centres in the city.
Admission to the meeting is free and all diabetics, their families and friends are welcome.
