Bedale FC 5 v 1 Stokesley SC

Bedale FC, fresh from a moral boosting mid-week win over local rivals Richmond, completely outplayed visitors Stokesley who had no answer to Adam Bramley the Bedale striker. Mark Cobb with his first for the club gave Bedale a 15th minute lead, before Bramley made it a one man show with goals in the 18th minute, to make it 2-0 at half time. Bramley then picked up where he had left off with a further goal in the 49th minute, he then grabbed his hat-trick goal in the 58th minute and made it 5-0 in the 62nd minute with his fourth of the match and sixth of the season. Stokesley claimed a penalty and Andy Quinn put the first one over the bar, but it was ordered to be retaken as the keeper came off his line. Craig Hutton had the second one saved by the keeper but, again, he moved and the kick was retaken. Tony Grainge took the third one and had it saved by the keeper, but with ten minutes remaining Grainge did score a late consolation to make it 5-1 to Beadle.

Hartlepool FC 4 v 4 BEADS FC

Hartlepool took the lead in the 20th minute when 16-year-old Ian Davies fired home a cracking left foot shot home. The visitors drew level 15 minutes later when Paul Chamberlin headed home the for a 1-1 half time score. Ten minutes into the second half a mix up in the home sides defence allowed Chamberlin time to turn and give BEADS a 2-1 lead. Five minutes later the game was level at 2-2 when quickly taken free-kick put Neil Gutteridge through. A minute later the match boiled over and both teams had a player sent off when Stephen Lahney of Hartlepool and goalscorer Chamberlin of BEADS clashed. In the 70th minute the visitors took the lead again when Michael Crowe scored, five minutes later it was 3-3 when Lee Hagen scored for the home side. Lee Bowes then gave BEADS a 4-3 lead but Steve Lubb made it 4-4 with seven minutes remaining.

Mackinlay Park 1 v 2 Fishburn Park

Redcar side Mackinaly Park were hoping to make the most of their opening day win at Nunthorpe, by taking all three points off Whitby visitors Fishburn Park. Ray Teasdale gave the home side the start they must of hoped for when he scored early. But the Whitby side battled back and drew level in the 35th minute with a first for the club from Ryan Myers. 1-1 remained the score until the 60th minute when Paul Graham score what turned out to be winner for Fishburn who are one of three teams on six points, one behind leaders Hartlepool FC.

New Marske SC 2 v 3 Carlin How

New Marske, a side looking for their first points of the season, entertained Carlin How who have two draws under their belts. The visitors got off to a flying start when Glen Smith opened after only four minutes; two minutes later Ross McMillan gave the visitors 2-0 lead. The home side pressed forward and in the 24th minute James Neilson pulled it back to 2-1, which remained the half time score. In the second half New Marske pressed forward but were dealt a sucker punch on the hour when Smith scored his second of the game to give Carlin How a 3-1 lead, New Marske pulled it back to 3-2 in the 89th minute but they slipped to their 3rd defeat of the season.

Richmond Tn. 3 v 0 SMG Redstripes

Richmond Town secured their first win of the season when entertaining Second Division Champions SMG Redstripes with all the goals coming in the first 35 minutes. Adam Emson was played through in the fifth minute to make it 1-0, half an hour later Dave Jenkinson got on the end of a Dave Hill ball to make it 2-0. Emson added the third in the 35th minute when Richard Dowson put him clear to make it 3-0. Dowson was then unlucky to see his glancing header scrape past the outside of the far post following a Michael Sartini free kick. In the second half both side had chances but no further goals were scored but in the last few minutes Richard Thompson hit the bar, and although the rebound was knocked home by Emson, for what he thought was his hat trick, the goal was disallowed for offside.

Thornaby FC 2 v 2 Grangetown BC

The Boys Club got out of the blocks the quickest and Ian McGowan scored following a long through ball. Thornaby drew level through Danny Jones ten minutes later with Darren Miller then giving the home side a 2-1 half time lead when a Jones shot was pushed out by the Boys Club keeper only for Miller to react the quickest to knock the loose ball home. In the second half both sides pressed forward but clear cut chances were created except a Martin Speight free kick that hit the outside of the Boys Club goal post, with a minute remaining the Boys Club drew level when a cross shot hit a defender and bounced into his own goal with only two minutes of the match remaining.

Nunthorpe Ath 0 v 1 Wolviston Res

At half-time the match remained at 0-0. In the second half the match was again evenly contested and with a minute left Wolviston stole all the points when Ian Thompson rose to head home the only goal. Nunthorpe thought they had scored but Simon O'Shea's effort was cancelled out when the referee brought play back following an earlier infringement.

Division Two

Billingham Wdrs 3 v 0 Guisb Town Re.

Billingham Wanderers bounced back from an opening day defeat to record their first points of the season with a hard fought win. Richard Walker opened the scoring in the 30th minute the only goal of the first half. In the second half the home side were on top and on the hour a Walker penalty gave them a comfortable 2-0 led with Paul Arnold making sure of the points in the 75th minute.

Darlington Albion 2 v 6 Dormans FC

Darlington Albion with a win and draw from their first two games in their new venture in the League, were facing a stiff test when entertaining Dormans. Dominic Ingram gave Dormans the lead with a 25-yard volley, James McGowan and Lee Atkinson then added goals to make it 3-0 at half time. In the second half Dormans increases their lead through McGowan's second of the match and 5th of the season made it 4-0, Atkinson with his second of the match and 4th of the season made it 5-0 before Trenton Hewitt pulled a goal back on the hour before Chris Fuller made it 6-1. Adrian Weston scored a second for the Albion with four minutes remaining.

Darlington CB 0 v 3 Richmond Mavericks

Ben Charlton gave the Mavericks a 15th minute lead and James Muir added a second after half an hour. Cleveland Bridge upped the tempo in the second half but with only just five minutes remaining Andrew Blenkhard secured a third consecutive win for the Mavericks who remain second in the league on goal difference behind the current leader Dormans FC.

D'ton RA Res 3 v 3 Teesside Link

An own goal by Glenn Harris in the first half gave the home side a slender 1-0 lead. Five minutes into the second half Steve Hill made it all square at 1-1, ten minutes later Hill was on target again to reverse the deficit in favour of Teesside Link, but Paul Adamson then struck the equaliser almost immediately to make it 2-2, Paul Lambert then gave Teesside Link for the second time but in the last minute Colin Cartwright made it a 3-3 and probably on reflection a fair result.

Darlington SRM 1 v 0 Whinney Banks

Tommy Wright scored in the sixth minute of the first half, and although the visitors were well on top in the second half playing some attractive football they failed to find that all important ingredient a goal, and slipped to a narrow defeat.

North Ormesby 1 v 4 Teesside Ath

North Ormesby are propping the league up without a points from their three matches played. Teesside Athletic took the lead in the 20th minute through Jamie Martin. Athletic without a points from their two matches then took a 2-0 lead through Kirk Forsyth in the 27th minute for a 2-0 half time score line. In the second half the Redcar side were on top and in the 63rd minute Martin scored his second of the match to make it 3-0, before Michael Goodhall wrapped up the Teesside Athletic first win of the season.
