FORMER Middlesbrough teacher David Bowe, Euro MP for Yorkshire and Humber, is supporting an Oxfam petition calling on trade ministers across the globe to stop protecting their markets and to protect the poor by making trade fair.
He said: "Trade has the potential to lift millions of poor people around the world out of poverty, but is currently doing the opposite."
