A Darlington school has raised £1,300 to help deprived children in Uganda.
Pupils and staff at Hurworth House School have spent the past year fundraising for the Friend's Orphanage Project.
Cash was raised at a variety of events.
The donation has allowed the orphanage to construct a school building.
Stephen Murphy, of Darlington Town Mission, organised the link between the orphanage and the school.
