A NUMBER of companies in the North-East have sponsored a new nature reserves guide.
The main funding for Durham Wildlife Trust's guide has come from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Countryside Agency.
In the guide are cards for each reserve, providing information on the habitat and species.
They have been sponsored by Barbour, City of Sunderland, Gateshead Borough Council, New College Durham, the National Grid, Nissan, Northumbrian Water, Pets at Home, UK Coal, and Walkers Crisps.
The guide has been written by trust workers Mark Richardson, John Gorst, Karen Fisher and Keith Cunningham.
It is free to members and £5 to non-members from trust visitor centres and Tourist Information Centres, or for £6.50 by post. Call 0191 - 584 3112 for details.
