A COUNTRY house and former care home is due to be converted into two houses.
John Wain, the owner of Carlbury Hall, near Piercebridge, has submitted the proposals to Darlington Borough Council. A decision is due on October 21.
A council spokeswoman said the application did not necessarily have to go to the planning committee. Neighbours have been notified of the plans and a deadline of October 10 has been set for public responses.
