A MUSICAL performance detailing a century of black history through the lives of several generations of women is to tour County Durham.

The production, Stamping, Shouting and Singing will be taken to five venues to celebrate Black History Month next week.

The play, by Birmingham company Mac Productions, will appear at: Belmont Comprehensive School, Durham on Monday, at 7.30pm; Deerness Valley Comprehensive School, Ushaw Moor, near Durham, on Tuesday, at 7.30pm; Dipton Community Centre, near Stanley on Wednesday, at 7.30pm; the Elite Hall, Crook, next Thursday, at 7pm; and Wheatley Hill Community Centre, East Durham, on the following Sunday, at 6.30pm.

The company will also hold workshops for young people.
