BOTH amateur and professional photographers, as well as collectors, will be trying to snap up a bargain at an auction next week.

Tennants, in Leyburn, hosts another camera sale on Saturday, October 11, after similar events attracted great interest in December last year and in March and June.

One of the lots expected to attract considerable interest this time is a Bronica SQA and associated lenses and accessories which would be enough to launch a professional business.

They were among 16 boxes of equipment acquired from the collection of the late Ernie Willey, a former North-East regional chairman of the Photographic Collectors Club of Great Britain.

Also for sale is an Alpa 7b sliding box camera, which is thought to be one of only 100 made, and a 25th anniversary Hasselblad, complete with its commemorative silver plaque.

Viewing for the sale is between 9am and 7pm on Friday, October 10, with the sale due to start at 1pm on Saturday.
