CIU League: Cockton Hill's visit to Ferryhill produced two unexpected results in the darts and pool sections.

Ferryhill beat the visiting second placed darts team by three points, whilst the visitors' had their revenge on the pool table when they beat the leaders by a similar margin.

In the darts game Ferryhill had wins from Phil Nixon, Roy Brown, Steve Wray, Gary Taylor and Tony Nixon wit the Hill replying with wins from Tommy Bell and Billy Steel. At pool Steve Wray was the only home winner, whilst the visitors had wins from Dennis Race, Colin Britton, Trevor Race and Russell Place.

The darts marksmen with 180s were Jeff Sneath, Paul Knighton and Gordon Dodds for Crook Belle Vue, Mark Frizell and Alan Clarkson for Byers Green, Joe Blakey for Willington, Gary Galloway for Crowtrees and Roy Brown for Ferryhill The best check out of the week came from Gary Taylor of Ferryhill with a 136 in a 12 darts leg.

Crook Belle Vue lead the darts section by five points with a match in hand, whilst Cockton Hill are in second place seven points ahead of Ferryhill. Cockton Hill hold an eight points lead in the dominoes with Chilton one ahead of Crowtrees, who have a match in hand. Ferryhill are six ahead and have a match in hand over Cockton Hill in the pool section. Crook Belle Vue are four adrift of Cockton Hill.

Crook Cup

The two divisional finals brought wins for the home sides but in vastly different fashions. In the First Division Cup Crook Olde Horse Shoe A were pushed all the way before they beat Crook Travellers Rest B by two points, whilst in the Second Division Final, Willington Brewer's Droop only dropped one point to the visiting Crook King's Head.

The pool results from Crook Olde Horse Shoe were (Horse Shoe names first): Brian Johnson lost to Michale Burke; Dave Walker beat Jimmy Singlewood; Stephen Liddle lost to Aaron Cowan; Richard Walker beat Jim Ainsley; Chris Peacock lost to Neil Campbell; Cliff Owens beat Doug Bowey. The dominoes results were Chris Peacock lost to Doug Bowey; Cliff Owens beat Aaron Cowan; Richard Walker lost to Bill Fairhurst; Dave Walker beat Jim Ainsley; Stephen Liddle beat Jimmy Singlewood; Dave Leighton beat Michael Burke.

At Willington Brewer's Droop the visiting Crook King's Head's only point came when Carl Maddison beat Robert Hird at pool. The remaining pool results were Billy Wragg beat Stephen Dawson; Vince Conaty beat Kevin Carter and Paul Atkinson beat Stuart Miller. The dominoes results were Robert Hird beat Dave Borwn; Ian Stoker beat Steff Gill; Davey Gallagher beat Stephen Dawson and Billy Wragg beat Andy Palmer.

Willington Ladies League

The last unbeaten record in the dominoes section was squashed completely when Willington Market only managed to pick up one point in their home match against Willington Club B. This defeat left them in top place but now they only have a one point advantage over Willington Cottles B and Willington Burn Inn.
