A MEETING is to be held in Middleton-in-Teesdale to discuss the siting of a proposed youth shelter.
PC Alison Race told a meeting of Middleton-in-Teesdale Parish Council that if there was overwhelming opposition she would examine the possibility of putting a shed on the school field, at the entrance to Leekworth Lane.
PC Race said that she would arrange the date of the meeting and circulate the details around the village.
Councillors said that they would be keen to attend, adding that the council had a duty to investigate providing a facility for youngsters.
