Hartlepool Town made progress to the next round of the Durham County Trophy beating Felling The Willows 2-0 at home.

The Town went 1-0 up in 35-minutes, a neat bit of play from Chris Birkbeck and Mark Peterson had the Willows in disarray. Mark Peterson finished the move with a fierce shot from 15-yards, the Willows keeper failed to hold, allowing Simon Hall to tap in from close range. The Town nearly increased the lead five minutes later. Terry Hill hit a 25-yard shot that hit the crossbar. In the second half The Town did increased their lead through Chris Birkbeck whose shot hit the keeper and bounced back for him to score from the rebound.

Simonside SC won their tie 3-0 away to Seaham Mallard. Lee Coats made it 1-0 swerving the ball over the keeper from 40 yards. On 25 minutes Wayne Miller slipped the ball through to Mark Bonner who made it 2-0. David Basham made 3-0 making sure of the tie in 80 minutes. He received a pass from Carl Simpson beat two defenders before slipping the ball home.

Whitehill FC are through to the next round they beat Gateshead A 4-1 courtesy from marksmen Kevin Coats, Graham Embleton and two from Andrew Robinson. David Lowry replied.

Belford House knocked Barnard Castle Glaxo out of the Durham Trophy with a 6-2 home win. Glaxo were pleased to hear the whistle at half time as they were totally outplayed and went in 4-0 down. The second period was different when they matched Belford at football.

Brandon Prince Bishop won their South Durham Bowl tie 2-0 at home to Stanley United. A half-volley from 30 yards by Brandon's Lee Johnson sailed into the top left hand corner of the net. They increased their lead on 80 minutes through a magic solo effort from David Fort.
