FLOWER displays filled Darlington's Civic Theatre yesterday, marking another successful Christmas show for the town's flower club.
Proceeds from the event, with funds raised throughout the year, were presented to the Darlington Flower Club's chosen charity, the Great North Air Ambulance.
The show featured national flower demonstrator Keith Smithies creating dramatic arrangements.
Club spokeswoman Doreen Howson said: "The displays were absolutely spectacular - very grand and impressive. I think it was the best show we have ever had."
The event, which was called Christmas Past and Present, also had a variety of stalls.
A cheque for £1,500 was presented to the Great North Air Ambulance, representing money raised at the show and a smaller event held at Polam Hall School, Darlington, earlier in the year.
