PROTESTORS have won their campaign to stop a dominatrix opening a fantasy club in the region.
Susanne Pitt, 49, outraged villagers in Swalwell, Gateshead, with her proposals to open the role-play studio in a former office building, in Front Street.
Planners at Gateshead Borough Council recommended the scheme for approval, despite petitions against it signed by 250 residents.
The German dominatrix planned to act out clients' fantasies using kinky costumes and torture equipment. But yesterday, at a development control meeting, councillors rejected the scheme, on the grounds that it would have an adverse affect on the residential area.
