A FORMER Sunderland footballer, who went on to play for England, returns to his home town in County Durham to take part in a talk-in later this month.
Colin Todd's England career took off after leaving Roker Park for Brian Clough's Derby County in the early 1970s.
He subsequently enjoyed varying levels of success as a coach and manager at top club level.
"Toddo" is the special guest of the Chester-le-Street and District branch of the Sunderland AFC Supporters' Association, on Tuesday, November 25.
The event, beginning at about 8pm, follows the monthly branch meeting, at Relton Terrace Workingmen's Club, Chester-le-Street, at 7.30pm.
Admission is £2, with tickets available either at the club, from branch officials on match days, or they can be booked via the branch hotline, on 0788-792 1726.
