Darlington Skerne Park put up a spirited display before going down 4-2 to Darlington The Mowden.

Skerne Park were first off the mark through Dave Elsdon, Ritchie Dodsworth levelled for Mowden with Adam Wilson giving them an interval lead, in the second James Middleton tied up the points with a double strike, Dave Passmore in the Skerne Park goal saved a penalty kick before Dean Browne added their second.

At Chilton the homeside, Community College took the early play against Darlington Archdeacon going into a two goal lead but by half-time 'Deacon had hit back to reduce the arrears to 3-2, in the second it was Archdeacon who called the tune and went into a 6-3 lead but the final ten minutes belonged to the College who got back to 6-5 but time ran out for an equaliser. Chris Jordan and Ian Thompson both hit hat-tricks for Archdeacon with Craig Mason knocking in four and Carl Hanley one in reply.

Stillington The Royal had most of the play against Darlington Dalesman and had to be satisfied with a 3-1 victory which was mainly due to an excellent bit of goalkeeping by Steve Madden for Dalesman, Paul Cleary, Peter Kitching and Mark Warnes scored for Royal with Nigel Hogg scoring Dalesman's consolation.

Darlington GSOB and Hurworth Emerson Arms had a good tussle at Abbey Road with the Hurworth side coming out top 5-2. Neil Bell was on target with three with one apiece going to Chris Liddle and Calvin Russell, Jimmy Morris (2) replied for the Old Boys.

In the Auckland Charity Cup, after a very tight game against Coundon and Leeholme, Tindale WMC came out victors 5-3 with goals from Paul and Lee Foster, Gary Whittaker, Mark Smith and Ashley Wilson. Although having most of the first half play Shildon Elm Road WMC couldn't put away the chances and went out to Brandon Prince Bishop 4-0.
