Lifeboatmen rescued an injured man from a boat which was adrift in the North Sea last night.
Alerted at about 5.45pm, Tynemouth Inshore Lifeboat rescued the man, who was in his 40s, from a boat off the coast of South Shields. He was taken to South Shields General Hospital.
