A FAMILY centre has expanded its range of services by introducing a pre-school group.
The group was launched at the Lighthouse Family Centre, in School Aycliffe, yesterday.
Geoff Walvin, of the Harvest Christian Bookshop, in Darlington Arts Centre, performed the opening ceremony at an open day.
The first full operational day for the group, which is for two-to-four-year-olds, will be next Monday.
Funding has also been received for after-school care and the centre is already taking names for that group, which will start in January. A baby unit will also be opening in March.
The centre, which will soon have a sensory unit, is operating a parent and toddler group on Thursdays, from 10am to 11.45am.
