SOME sing of love or heartbreak, and others of brave deeds - but, for three characters from Richmond Operatic Society, it's sausage rolls.
Martin Ash, Tom Burrows and Geoff Wagstaff play Bill, Ben and Bob in Soiree D'Amour on this week at the Georgian Theatre Royal. As the title suggests, the production, which starts its run tomorrow at 7.30pm, does have a romantic theme.
Many of the guests at a party thrown by a popular member of a small community seem to have love on their mind and the show follows the story of each of their endeavours. But one of the highlights is Bill, Ben and Bob's musical tribute to the humble sausage roll - provided by a host with a reputation for culinary eccentricity.
