Thirsk captured another established scalp in what is proving their best ever season.

They beat Hull 3-2 at home in their latest clash and are now a respectable fifth in the table of a league which attracts some of the country's leading players.

Thirsk have now won three of their five clashes and are on 59 points.

Wensleydale closed the gap on leaders Harrogate Squash II to four points with their 3-0 home win over Thirsk in Division One.

Squash lost ground because they were only able to defeat Pateley Bridge 2-1.

Father and son both competed for Harrogate Squash II, father Paul Duncalf going down 0-3 for the first time against Chris Lennox. But son Dave Duncalf defeated Steve Ball 3-0.

The only family member missing for a complete Duncalf line up in the Harrogate side was Jenny Duncalf, who is successfully making her way up the rankings on the world circuit after turning professional last year.

Kwik Harrogate and District League

High flying Harlow have had their wings clipped in the race for the title - by league officials.

The Harrogate team failed to register a result within the league time limit and have been docked four points.

It means the side drop from second in the table to fifth.

In addition to breaking a league rule on match returns Harlow also lost the match, going down 0-3 to Chapel Allerton II, Nick King, Andy Fotherby and Richard Milner inflicting the damage.

Harlow are now behind Chapel Allerton, 95 points, Adel, 86, Harrogate Squash II 80 and Ilkley 79.

Adel's 2-1 victory over Harrogate Nomads put them in second place with wins by Mark Ambler and Steve Glynn. Joe Wilson was the Nomads' winner.
