Ferryhill Town Youth: Ferryhill Town Youth Under-10s played at home to Belasis juniors, winning 3-0 and it was a action packed game from the start.

Five minutes into the game Tom Olley scored the first goal followed shortly by Nathan Ball making it 2-0 at half time. At the start of the second half Belasis were awarded a penalty but the Ferryhill goalkeeper Joe 'The Monk' Williamson saved the shot only to have it rebounded, his quick reaction denied Belasis a goal giving Ferryhill another clean sheet. The third goal came from Nathan Ball five minutes before the full time whistle, giving him his second of the match. A great team effort from all players contributed to another great win. Manager Keith Pearson said man of the match was awarded to all of the players as they all give an excellent performance.

The friendly match was just as skillful and Ferryhill went ahead just before half time with a lovely goal from Christopher Devine. They kept the lead right up to the last minutes of the game when Belasis scored an equalizer. Final score was 1-1. A big thank you to Baz T for refereeing the game.

Ferryhill Under-11s were away to Thirsk Falcons at the weekend. Ferryhill got the best start and took an early 1-0 lead. Brompton then went into a 4-1 lead at half-time. At the beginning of the second half Jonathan Smith was unfortunately badly injured but even with ten men the lads played an inspired second half. There was a second week in a row hat-trick for Shane Todd and although Brompton scored again Ferryhill never gave up, the final score being 5-4. It was extremely difficult to pick a man of the match as everyone played well but it goes to Jonathan Smith. Get well soon Jonny.

Daniel Spender laid off a great pass from in side his own penalty area to Andrew Gibbons who was unlucky to put just over the bar. Wayne Bolton started the scoring for Ferryhill and ended it with a great goal. Simon Lowes pulled off some great saves to keep the score down to what it was. Final score Ferryhill 2, Leeming Lads 7.

Only one game went ahead at the weekend and Sacriston celebrated winning their first game of the season in the Subsidiary Cup, which is competed for on a league basis.

They hosted Red House and after taking a first-half lead ran out 3-0 winners.

Their hero was Greg Coates, who scored all three goals.

Sacriston though again played with only nine men and are desperately in need of new players. Anyone interested is asked to contact Dave Showler on 0191 3719139.

The victory lifted Sacriston off the bottom of the table and the basement position in now occupied by Red House, who have taken one point from the four games they have played.

There is no change in the league with Lumley still a point ahead of Jarrow St. Beades and Ryhope.
