Crook League: Crook Travellers Rest A were able to move up into third place in the First Division after they only dropped two points to the visiting Crook Olde Horse Shoe A, who took a singles point through Gavin Witton and the doubles through Dave Leighton with Gavin Witton.

The winners for the Travellers Rest A were John Carroll, Steve Todd, Tony Storey, Anthony Bell and Dave Poulter.

Crook Belle Vue moved two points clear at the top of the First Division with Crook Royal Sun in second place, one point ahead of the Travellers Rest A.

Willington Brewer's Droop lost their second spot in the Second Division when they only picked up one point from their visit to Crook Queen's Head A. Billy Wragg was the only visiting winner, whilst Tommy Longstaff, Peter Genner, John Howarth, Doug Smailes and Dave Willey took singles points for the Queen's with Genner and Smailes adding the doubles.

Crook Coach and Horses B lead the Second Division by three points from Crook Jelly's Bar A, who are now two ahead of Willington Brewer's Droop.

Tow Law Dan's Castle B lost touch with the top two when they went down by the odd point at home to Tow Law New Market A, whilst the top two, Tow Law Football Club and Newhouse Club both won for the loss of only one point. The Castle B team were twice in the lead but went down in the decider. Angela Suddes put the Castle ahead but Terry Taylor levelled. Paul Murray restored the home lead but Bill Goodall equalised. In the decider Tom Dowson beat Dave Richardson to take the New Market to victory.

Newhouse Club held on second place, three points behind Tow Law Football Club but four ahead of Dan's Castle B, when they only dropped one point to their hosts at Tow Law Rose and Crown. The home side's only point came from Lee Mowbray, whilst Newhouse had wins from Jeff Brown, Harry Dinsdale, Graeme Thompson and Stephen Turner.

Sunnybrow Brown Trout held on to their top spot with an odd point home win over Willington Cottles A, who could be a serious threat for the Championship. The visitors twice were ahead when Ray Liddell took the first point but was levelled by Rita Welch, then Alan Fleming restored their lead only to see Harry Sewell equalise. In the decider Dave Blackburn took the Trout to victory when he beat Peter Fleming.

Willington Cottles B closed the gap on the Brown Trout when they only dropped one point to the visiting Prospect Club, who had Ces Atkinson as their only winner. The home points came from Dave Bennett, Gilly Spark, Brett Fleming and Wilf Sharp.

Sunnybrow Brown Trout lead the table by four points from Cottles B, who are one ahead of Byers Green Royal Oak. Cottles A are a further two points adrift but have two matches in hand of the Oak and one of the top two.
