Birtley Town Reserves shared the points with a 2-2 draw away to Durham Victoria Bridge.

Micky Barker put Durham ahead slotting the ball past the keeper after receiving a nice through ball from Dave Pratt. The penalty hammered home by Nick Bradley equalised for Birtley who then went ahead 2-1 in the first half when John Sexton side footed in an easy chance. A lot of pressure in the second half from Durham was rewarded with five minutes to play when Barker got his second to make it 2-2.

Seaham Town were worthy winners against Durham City Reserves with a 3-0 home win. Vic Holt put them in front with a simple tap-in after Durham's keeper fumbled in the goalmouth. Ross Pinder made it 2-0 with a fine solo effort rounding the keeper before slotting the ball into an empty net. In the second half Vic Holt got his second for the Town to earn a 3-0 high performance win.

Whitehill FC went down 1-0 at home to Simonside SC. Two penalty misses by Mark Elliott was their downfall especially when a penalty by Ray Simpson was easily converted.

Belford House moved up the table to second spot when they beat Gateshead A 3-2 away. They were behind when Michael Cunningham tapped in a loose ball that the Belford keeper had palmed out. Michael Conner levelled for Belford just before Tony Clark put Gateshead 2-1 up. Another two goals from Kenny Taylor and Mike Conner sealed it for Belford.

The 1-1 draw between Brandon Prince Bishop and Hartlepool Town was a fair result in a tight game with both teams sound in defence. Stephen Chapel gave Brandon the 1-0 lead in the first half, hammering in a 20 yard shot into the top corner of the net. Hartlepool deservedly equalised late in the second half, Dave Smith the scorer.

There was plenty of entertaining football in a 3-3 draw between Seaham Mallard and Shildon Railway. Damon Askew dribbled the ball past the Seaham keeper for the fist in 15 minutes. Johnathan Rennaldson equalised with a 25-yard free kick in the 40th minute. Two minutes later Seaham went in front, Graham Rose slotted the ball home to make it 2-1. Johnathan Rennaldson put Seaham further ahead in the 75th minute and two goals in the last five minutes by Kevin Hamilton and Douglas Grant earned Shildon a deserved draw.
