Burnmoor Cricket Club took advantage of Hetton Lyons Cricket Club's involvement in the delayed Durham County FA Sunday Cup tie to go to top spot in the League Premier Division with a Thumping 8-0 Home win over Sacriston Wmc.

Top man was Graeme Hutchinson hitting four goals, Andy Colledge added a further two plus one each from Steve Mc Mahon and Simon Andrews. Hetton meanwhile were 3-0 home winners over Stanley Royal in the Durham FA Sunday Cup.

In the First Division Sunderland Lakeside were 4-3 winners at Belmont Sportsman's Arms, Phill Thornton hitting two plus one each for Ian McDowall and Chris Merritt. Esh Winning McKenna's were 4-3 home winners over Coxhoe Wmc.

In the Second Division leaders Kelloe Wmc maintained top spot with a 1-0 over visitors Langley Park Wmc, Dave Milburn hitting the winner. Second placed Washington Dunlop Tyres were surprisingly beaten 5-4 in the local derby with the Lambton Highwayman, Terry Fagan and Dave Kirtley hitting two each. Gilesgate Moor Hotel moved into third spot with a 5-2 win at Houghton Mill All Stars, Craig McManus hitting a hat-trick and Craig Thompson and Andy Ward adding one each. Steve Fenn and Alistair Dodd's scoring for the All Stars.

Newton Aycliffe Wmc travelled to near neighbours Ferryhill wmc for the local derby, the away side taking the honours 2-0 and moved ahead of Ferryhill in to fourth spot in the division Jason Ryder and Ian Swainston netting.

In the Third Division Bearpark wmc maintained top spot with a 6-1 home win over Houghton Chilton Lodge, Keith Rutherford hitting a hat-trick, Mark Welsh adding two more plus one from Carl Wilkinson.

Houghton Comrades are in second spot thanks to the 7-1 home win over the Coach and Eight, The Coach and Eight had Chris Cummings sent off.

A hat-trick for Gareth Trowels gave Warehouses a 3-1 home win over Pittington. Goals from Owen Flattley and Dave Rochester were not enough for Belmont Wmc as they were beaten 4-2 at Ushaw Moor Cricket Club. Darren Hazell with two and one each for Michael Gibbons and Scott Harding for Ushaw Moor.

In the Fourth Division Chester Horner's lost ground on leaders Lumley Snooker as the Horner's could only draw 3-3 with bottom club Birtley Coach and Horses, Stephen Reay, Michael Anderson and Mike Redshaw were all on target for the Horner's, with Mike Morris, Dave Thornton and Craig Pearson replying for the visitors.

Two goals from Ian Airton gave the Glendenning Arms a 2-1 away win at Langley Park Sports and Social, while the Pot and Glass moved into fourth place in the division with a 3-1 home win over the White Tunn, Neil Waters with two and an own goal.

In the Racing Promotions Trophy fourth round Lumley celebrated winning through to the semi finals, thanks to a 3-1 victory over Witton Gilbert wmc. Lumley were off to a flyer as man of the match Paul Bainbridge lobbed Witton keeper Paul bailey to give Lumley a third minute lead. Steven Roughly made it 2-0 with a penalty. In the second half Chris Jackson burst clear and finished in fine style to make it 3-0. Ian Fenwick pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 55th minute but that was not enough.

In the KJM Embriodery League Cup fourth round Sedgefield St Edmunds were too strong for visistors New Herrington Wmc, the home side winning 3-0, Ian Bickerstaff, Brian Fairhurst and Steve Flockett scoring, Sherburn Lambton Arms were also 3-0 home winners over Byers Green Wmc, Terry Patterson (2) and Dale Robinson scoring.

In the Lasertech Trophy Houghton Glendale were 6-1 winners at Pelton Fleece, Phil Oliver hitting a fine hat-trick, two for Christian Robson and one from Trevor Laidler. Paul Shaw replying for the home side.

In the Durham Driveways Trophy a single goal from full-back Dean Morgan gave Burnmoor Dun Cow a 1-0 home win over Washington Arms.

While goals from Paul Harnett (2), and one each for Stefan Reay, Peter Croft, and Paul Franey put Chilton Wmc into the next round of the Durham City Afc Supporters Trophy at the expense of visitors Hetton New Inn Chilton, winning 5-1.
