SHOPPERS in Newton Aycliffe enjoyed a seasonal treat when local children performed a carol concert.
Children from Little Acorns Nursery at Aycliffe Industrial Park, sang for about 15 minutes at the Thames Shopping Centre.
Nursery manager Kathryn Dowson said: "Every year we get asked to sing at the centre and the shoppers seem to really enjoy it."
Nursery owner John Owens is to replace the current premises with a 50-place nursery costing £250,000.
Building is due to start soon and he hopes it will be completed by spring.
