Division One, Thornaby YC 0, Carlin How 1: Both sides pressed and had a number of near misses, Martin Say had the best chance for the visitors in the 70th minute but had his shot well saved by Shane Hine in the Youth Club goal

. The match was always going to be a close affair but it was Carlin How who took all three points in the 83rd minute when Kevin Hampton knocked home his fourth of the season to secure the points.

Fishburn Park 1, BEADS FC 1

BEADS had to clear off their line on a couple of occasions as the home side pressed with the strong wind behind them. But in the tenth minute it was the visitors who took the lead through a first of the season from Gary Thompson who shot home from the edge of the box. The home side pressed forward but had to wait until eight minutes before full time when Neil Braithwaite caught out the visitors keeper and after robbing him of the ball chipped him from 25 yards to rescue a point.

Mackinlay Park 1, Stokesley SC 3

The visitors took a tenth minute lead through James Allsopp, with Sam Vernalls adding the second in the 15th minute. Mackinlay Park pulled a goal back in the 25th minute through Scott McGuinness but ten minutes later James Middleditch made it a 3-1. In the second half the home side fought back to get back on level terms but the Stokesley hung on to secure the double over the Redcar side.

Richmond Town 1, Bedale FC 0

Richmond Town entertained local rivals Bedale and the first half was very tight and no goals were forthcoming. In the second half the home side got on top and Matthew Hill had a great left foot volley that hit the bar, but in the 73rd minute the three Richmond forwards combined to score what turned out to be the winner when Hill flicked on a cross to Richard Thompson who helped it on to Adam Emson who picked his spot to fire home the winner.

SMG Redstripes 1, Grangetown BC 1

In an evenly contested match the home side took the lead five minutes before half time through Mark Osmond. In the second half the Boys Club pressed forward and finally drew level with only a minute left when Andrew Doddy scored.

Thornaby FC 3, New Marske SC 1

Thornaby took an early 2-0 lead with a first of the season from Kris Townsend and then Michael Arif notched his 20th of the season. The visitors gradually fought back and pulled a goal back in the 68th minute when Andrew Ackerley pulled it back to 2-1. The visitors pressed forward but in the 75th minute Neil Preston was brought down and Martin Speight drove home the spot kick to secure the points for Thornaby.

Wolviston Res 2, Nunthorpe Ath 0

the home side who took the lead when Michael Hardy and Andy Harris combined to set up Ian Thompson to score. Four minutes into the second half Hardy raced down the right before crossing for Craig Leslie to slam the ball past Mansfield from 15 yards to give the home side a 2-0 win.

Durham Trophy second round

Hartlepool T 1, Hartlepool FC 2 (aet)

Hartlepool progressed to the semi-final after beating local rivals of the Durham Alliance League. Hartlepool took a 13th minute lead through a Lee Haggan penalty but were then pushed back by Town who could not find a way past a determined defence until four minutes before the final whistle when Geoff Cooper popped up with a header to send the match into golden goal extra time. An Ian Davies cross was fumbled by the home side's keeper and Neil Hay was on hand to knock the ball home.

Darlington Albion 5, Guisb T Res 3

John Banks gave the Albion a sixth minute lead before Guisborough struck back to make it 1-1 through Andrew Davies. Three minutes into the second half the Albion took the lead for the second time when Trenton Hewitt scored, Adrian Weston then made it 3-1 in the 54th minute and two minutes later Hewitt made it 4-1.

Weston was not to be outdone and he made it 5-1. Guisborough Town fought back and pulled it back to 5-2 when Alex Golding scored and in the last minute Ewan McGee made it 5-3.

Division Two

Darlington CB 2, Teesside Link 3

Darlington Cleveland Bridge twice went into the lead but still ended up losing. An own goal by a player of visitors Teesside Link gave the Bridge a third minute lead but a minute later it was all square at 1-1 when Robbie Shaw scored his 7th of the season. Three minutes later the Bridge took the lead for the second time when Michael Dutton scored but the lead only lasted a minute and Kevin Haley with a first of the season made it all square at 2-2. The rest of the half swung end to end but right on the stroke of half time Link took the lead for the first time when they were awarded a penalty and Paul Lambert stepped up with what turned out to be the winner.

Darlington SRM 0, Billingham W 7

Darlington SRM were under-strength and slipped to their third 7-0 defeat of the season. The visitors raced into a 4-0 half time lead with goals from James Stewart, John Cairns, David Phillips and Richard Walker. In the second half there was no respite for the home side and further goals were forthcoming from man of the match Walker, Paul Arnold and Matthew Sykes.

Dormans FC 5, Darlington RA Res 2

With eight League games remaining Dormans look on course for promotion at the first attempt. They took a 2-0 lead when Glynn Swinnerton and Michael Stangoe scored and they looked to be well on their way to securing their 12th victory of the season when James McGowan scored five minutes into the second half. But the Darlington side pulled it back to 3-1 when Darren Kokes scored in the 75th minute. But McGowan made it 4-1 before Darren Pearson made it 4-2. Derek Bradley finished the scoring to make it 5-2 in the last minute.

Richmond Mvrks 1, Teesside Ath 2

Teesside Athletic took a 2-0 lead into the half time break with goals from Kirk Forsyth and a first of the season from Jon Berry two minutes before half time. In the second half the Mavericks pressed for a way back and were thwarted by the visiting keeper, who was not beaten until two minutes before time when Tim Waite scored but it proved too little too late.

Whinney Banks 1, North Ormesby 3

Whinney Banks took the lead through Paul Muthana but the visitors fought back and drew level five minutes into the second half, Philip Cox on target for the first time this season. Two minutes later Chris Brown gave North Ormesby the lead with his second of the season. The match swung end to end with the home side looking for an equaliser, but in the 74th minute North Ormesby broke and Andrew Lambert secured the three points.
