A shot from Claire Moses went just wide of the mark and a shot from Kathryn Clarke rattled the posts. Brogan Prudhoe then scored the second of Darlington's goals on the break.

Not put off by the score, Consett came back strongly to be rewarded with a fine goal they continued creating chances but thanks to the hard work of the Darlington defence, Laura Mather, Stacey Crang, Rachael and Rebbeca Brabbs they were unable to find the finishing touch.

With four minutes remaining Brogan Prudhoe eased the pressure by putting away Darlington's third goal.
