SOLDIERS have put their efforts into raising cash for Darlington's needy children.
The troops from Catterick Garrison raised more than £1,800 with a 24-hour rowathon for the town's annual Giving Tree Appeal.
The cash will be spent on presents for disadvantaged youngsters to be distributed next week.
