Entries are being accepted for an annual floral competition.
Northumbria in Bloom, which was established in 1964, has developed a competitive spirit amongst entrants wanting to brighten up their village, town or city.
Entries should be made through a parish council or local authority before the end of this month.
The launch takes place at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield, County Durham, on Monday, March 8. The event is free and all entrants and prospective entrants are welcome to attend. For more details, contact the competition secretary on (01740) 620725.
