SOME of the biggest names in American-style wrestling are to stage a night of action next week.

UK wrestling promoter WZW will hold the WZW Aftermath show at The Trades nightclub, in Consett, County Durham, on Monday.

Topping the bill will be tag team The UK Pitbulls, who weigh in at a combined total of 60 stones.

The Pitbulls, who will be making their WZW debut when they take on The Nattrass Boys in the Inter-Promotional Tag Team Championship, are famous for their recent appearance on TV's Dirty Sanchez and have also appeared on MTV, Channel 4, BBC and ITV.

The bout is one of seven contests on the bill.

WZW stars Enigma, Iceman and General Trent Steel will be in the ring. Also performing on the night will be Consett's Bill Podmoore's Nose - the rock band who have recorded the WZW theme tune, Light The Fuse.

The band will play the song live and perform a set in front of their home town crowd at the interval.

Doors open at 6.15pm with the first bout at 6.45pm. Tickets are £7 for adults, £4 for children and pensioners or £18 for a family ticket for two adults and two children. They are available in advance from The Trades, in John Street, or at the door.
