A recruitment campaign has been launched to staff the new Walkers Crisps warehouse in Peterlee. Up to 45 jobs in a range of positions are on offer at the £5m building.
Jobcentre Plus in Durham is working with the snack food company to fill the vacancies.
Walkers announced last July that it was building the high-tech operation with the creation of up to 50 jobs.
Christine Callaghan, field account manager, for Durham Jobcentre Plus said: "It is a tremendous job opportunity offering a good salary for people with the right kind of skills and experience."
A spokesperson for Walkers Crisps added: "We have invested more than £5m installing state of the art equipment in our Peterlee site which will be at the heart of our 24/7 UK distribution system, and naturally need to recruit new staff."
