Darlington Skerne Park were a couple of minutes from picking up their first win of the season but had to be satisfied with a share of the points with Darlington Dalesman after an evenly contested game.

Andy Williams put Skerne Park ahead with Stuart Melville equalising before the break, on the turnround it was the Park who took the initiative and went back in front through Dean Pearson, with the side ready to celebrate Paul Prince struck for Dalesman.

Chilton Community College and Hurworth Emerson Arms were well matched for three quarters of the game with the sides locked at 1-1, then with 15 minutes remaining Emerson struck three times to take the points 4-1. David Tate scored for College with Steven Clapham and a Steve Leonard hat-trick replying for Emerson

New signing Adam Flynn got off to a flyer for Darlington Archdeacon hitting four of their five against Darlington Mowden, Paul Mulrooney being their other scorer. At one time they led by the five goals but Mowden hit back to reduce the arrears through Ritchie Dodsworth and James Middleton.

With two fixtures off due to waterlogged pitches the only other game to take place was Darlington Travellers Rest and Shildon Elm Road WMC and they shared 15 goals in what turned out to be a topsy turvy affair.

With both sides being well matched we got to the interval with Travellers leading 4-3, in the second the lead kept changing until late in the game when Elm Road scored three quickies to clinch the points 9-6. Chris Hall had a good game for Travellers hitting four goals with Steve Appleby netting the other two, for Elm Road Carl Dawson and Darryl Meadows both notched hat-tricks, Richard Nash (2) and Jamie Jones rounded off their scoring.
