POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle crash yesterday morning.
The collision took place at 9.20am, in Chilton, on the roundabout where West Chilton Terrace joins the A167.
A silver Honda Civic travelling south went on to the roundabout where it collided with a red Vauxhall Corsa coming from West Chilton Terrace.
The male driver of the Corsa required treatment at Darlington Memorial Hospital for the effects of whiplash before he was allowed home.
There were no other injuries.
Although there was plenty of traffic in the area at the time and a number of vehicles had to swerve out of the way, no-one actually stopped at the scene while the police were there.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact them so they can complete their inquiries.
The officer in the case is Sergeant Simon Trotter, who is based in the south traffic office at Newton Aycliffe police station, and can be contacted on (01325) 314401.
