AN export programme has helped a travel industry supplier to increase its turnover by 40 per cent.
Holiday CD, of Consett, County Durham, developed the Travel Industry Guarantee scheme to provide tour operators with information on hotels around the world.
New software allows travel companies to make online bookings. The company has also completed work on an online directory that will be used by 6,000 travel agencies worldwide and which includes the details of more than 10,000 hotels.
The company has gone from strength to strength after joining UK Trade and Investment's Your Passport to Export Success programme.
Alan Crampton, Holiday CD partner, said: "From a standing start, we now have more than 50 clients and are working for people specialising in a wide variety of tours from golf to scuba diving."
