ACCORDIONIST Charles Young is still squeezing out tunes at the age of 81, and he is looking for new audiences.
The Darlington musician has played at homes for the elderly and sheltered accommodation across the region.
Mr Young's musical career began at the age of 14 and continued during the Second World War when his impromptu shows were a source of encouragement for battle-weary troops.
Now, he dedicates his time to entertaining elderly people and is seeking new venues.
"The old people love it and they can have a good sing-song. I've got a repertoire of about 30 or 40 of the old songs," he said.
"I was inundated over Christmas but it's slackened off a bit, so I'm just letting people know I'm available."
Mr Young can be contacted on (01325) 251861.
