ARTISTS of all ages can help promote an annual drive to make Hartlepool a more attractive place.
Officers from the borough council have teamed up with the civic society for a competition to design posters advertising their Spring Clean Hartlepool initiative.
Part of the council's Pride in Hartlepool environmental campaign, it will take place in April and May.
Community environmental action officer Clare Iley-Christie said: "Spring Clean Hartlepool has been running for several years now and we always get a great response.
"However, we are always looking for ways to raise its profile and we thought a series of promotional posters was one way of achieving this."
There are six age categories; under-fives, five-sevens, eight-11s, 12-15s, 16-18s and adults.
Posters should be A4-sized and have the name and age of the artist on the back. They should be accompanied by entry forms, available from schools, libraries and the Civic Centre.
The closing date is Friday, March 12. The winners will receive art equipment. For details, call (01429) 284172.
