THE annual Brian Hall Golf Classic for Bedale Athletic and Sports Association members was held at Bedale Golf Club recently.
Almost 30 members braved freezing conditions, with local electrician Jonny Mason the winner in the Stableford competition with 39 points.
Mr Mason has only been playing golf regularly for three years, so his victory was a remarkable achievement.
Joint runners-up with 38 points were Andrew Partridge and Christopher Peacock, with David Horner receiving golf balls for his score of 25 points.
The winner, pictured above, received a bottle of whisky and the Brian Hall Golf Classic trophy from Adrian Hall (left) and Colin Tipton, chairman of BASA.
