NURSERY children have been working with a musician as part of a project designed to let them explore new sounds.
The children from the day nursery at the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton, worked with Dr Brendon Renwick, of Music-For-Schools. com, for the Musical Discoveries project.
Dr Renwick used a range of instruments and toys to help children learn about musical elements such as dynamics and pitch.
Nursery manager Andrea Rouse said: "This project has given youngsters a real opportunity to explore the subject in an innovative way."
Dr Renwick said: "Music is an integral part of children's development and it is vital they are able to experience and enjoy live music at an early age."
