Rohm Haas JOC Hetton Youth League: The race for the championship has gone right to the wire with Ryhope needing to beat Jarrow St Bedes to clinch the title.

If the game ends in a draw, however, Ryhope and Lumley will meet in a play-off and if Jarrow defeat Ryhope, then Jarrow will have to play Lumley in a play-off.

In the Subsidiary Cup which is competed for on a league basis, Ryhope will meet Jarrow St Bedes in the final after the sides shared in a 1-1 draw at the weekend. Stephen Green netted for Jarrow with Michael Pattison replying for Ryhope.

The date for the League Cup Final has been arranged as follows:

North-East Durham Cup: Ryhope v Trimdon April 21; Sunderland Eye Infirmary Cup: Jarrow St Bedes v Sacriston April 24; Palmer Cup: Jarrow St Bedes v Ryhope April 30; League cup: Ryhope v Jarrow St Bedes May 3; League Subsidiary Cup: Ryhope v Jarrow St Bedes May 8.

Apollo Doors Gateshead Youth League

Leam Rangers Y reached the final of the Under-11 League Cup with a 4-2 victory at Consett Reds. Although eight points adrift of leaders Low Fell M, Leam Rangers Y are also in a strong position to clinch the championship since they have seven games in hand on the leaders.

In the league, Leam Rangers G maintained second position defeating Stocksfield 9-1 while Low Fell M recorded a 5-1 victory at home to Whickham Fellside G as Michael Dodds bagged a brace of goals.

The biggest individual scorer in the Under-11 section was Sam Hardy who netted six goals in a 9-0 victory for Beamish at Consett B where Mark Longstaff recorded a hat-trick.

Low Fell C and Winlaton drew 1-1, Blaydon and Regheugh were involved in a goalless draw and South Moor inflicted a 5-0 defeat on Felling when Jack Self struck twice.

Joel Wilson was another player to score on two occasions as Whickham Fellside Y defeated Ryton 3-2.

In the Under-12 division, Redheugh are four points in front of Low Fell, the sides having played the same number of matches. Redheugh romped to a 7-1 success at Winlaton when most of the goals were scored by Gordon Richardson (2) and Martin Bagnall (2).

Just one of the games took place at Under-12 level and a hat trick from Andrew Chaters enabled Felling to end 3-1 in front of Beamish.

Washington Oxclose continue to set the pace in the Under-13 section following a 5-1 victory at Leam Rangers G where both Ricky Jose and Jim Murray scored twice.

Chopwell, who were without a fixture, are second and although 12 points behind Washington Oxclose, have played four games fewer.

Ian McCallum (4) and Alex Tait (2) were among the goals as Low Fell ended 7-0 in front of Blackfyne but goals were more scarce in a 2-1 win for Rutherford at home to Leam Rangers Y.

Ian Hall scored twice for Blaydon as did Martin Taylor for Redheugh when the teams ended 3-3, Whickham Fellside B edged to a 3-1 success at Winlaton and Whickham Fellside R defeated Consett 4-1 when James Swaddle bagged a brace of goals.

In the Under-14 section Redheugh consolidated pole position with a 9-0 rout over Low Fell B. Charlie Rand (3), Terry Galbraith (2) and Liam Henderson (2) were all among the goals enabling Redheugh to command a three points advantage over Cleveland Hall, who have played one game more.

New County North Durham Youth League

After losing to their rivals the previous week in a cup game, South Moor gained revenge when they defeated Ryton 2-1 in the Under-16 Division. Clark Coulso and Greg McKay were on target for South Moor with James Carr the scorer of Ryton's only goal. South Moor's victory moved them up on equal points at the top with Blaydon but their rivals have two additional matches to play.

In the Edward Wanless Cup Final, Leam Rangers defeated Cleveland Hall 3-0 when Ryan Moore struck a hat-trick.

Fairs Software Tyneside Junior League

Chester-le-Street are on course for a league and cup double after defeating Seaham Red Star 4-0 in the semi final. Gavin Stoker, Robbie Bleming, Robert Houghton and Robert Draper were all on target for the Cestrians who will meet Walker Central in the final.

Walker needed extra time before defeating West Denton 3-1 with goals by Andrew Weeks (2) and Ian Gray. Stephen Dodd was West Denton's only scorer.

In a midweek fixture, Chester-le-Street strengthened their position at the top of the table defeating Whitley Bay 5-0. Stephen Richardson rifled a hat-trick, Robbie Houghton converted a penalty and Martin Urwin was also on target.

Chester-le-Street now lead Walker Central by seven points but their rivals have one additional match to play.
