Bishop Auckland League: Shildon Royal George moved to the top of the table after they only dropped three points to the visiting Toft Hill Three Tuns.

The George had two points from Kevin Stewart and Martin Taylor with Andrew Tennant, Chris Peacock, Rance Richardson and Steve Balanaves adding one each. The visitors had wins from Vince Hunt and Peter Carnigan before Rance Richardson and Kevin Stewart won the doubles. The captains' points were shared between Chris Peacock and Ray Hughes.

Tow Law Scottish Courage League

Arthur Henderson and Charlie Donaghy of Tow Law Football Club, who had qualified at Sunniside Comedian, won the League Doubles Championship at Tow Law Station when they beat Alan Ogilvie and Malcolm Boughey, who had qualified at Newhouse Club, 3-1 in the best of five frames final.

In the semi-finals Ogilvie and Boughey beat John Conley and Dave Watson of Sunniside Comedian, who qualified at Tow Law Dan's Castle, whilst Henderson and Donaghy beat John Robinson and Christopher Ellis of Hamilton Row Black Horse, who qualified from their own home venue.

Auckland Area League

*eaders, Bishop Auckland Manor entertained Spennymoor Voltigeur B and opened up a seven points lead with two frames each from Steven Webb and Peter Mernor and one each from Jon Tomlinson, John Collinson and Bill Turner. Steven Horner and Peter Summerfield reduced the arrears but Bill Turner claimed the final singles for the home side. The doubles were shared with Jon Tomlinson and Peter Mernor taking the first for the Manor, whilst Peter Summerfield and Michael Craddock the second for the Voltigeur. Steven Webb took the captains to give the Manor an important victory.

Durham and District League

The final of the League Knockout Cup will be between Witton Gilbert White Tun B and Sacriston Daisy Hill after both had good away wins in their semi-finals. The White Tun B managed to beat the league leaders, Consett Stateside and have now set their hearts on making a league and cup double as they only trail the Stateside by five points at the top of the table.

Sacriston Daisy Hill made an even better away win for they were able to topple Framwellgate Moor Marquis of Granby by four points. The Marquis are fourth in the league so the Daisy Hill team had to pull out all the stops and hope for another giant killing act in the final.
