POLICE seek witnesses after a young woman was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Middlesbrough town centre in the early hours of Monday.
The woman, from the town, and who is in her twenties, was injured as she tried to hail a taxi outside Barclays in Albert Road at about 1.10am after a night in town.
A blue and green Volkswagen golf struck her before driving away through red lights at the junction of Corporation Road.
She was treated for minor injuries at James Cook University Hospital before being released.
