MEMBERS of the local health trust are meeting in the community for the first time in North Yorkshire.
Instead of the usual hospital venues, the next South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust board meeting will be held at Hambleton Forum, Bullamoor Road, Northallerton, on Tuesday, May 11, at 10.30am.
Members of the public will be able to listen to discussions about trust issues, ask questions and meet members of the team.
Chairwoman Glenys Marriott said: "We're very keen to get members of the public involved in their local hospital.
"We provide a wide range of services for the local population and felt it was the right time to hold our meetings in a well-known community venue and encourage people to come to the meetings."
The trust provides acute health care services from its two main sites at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
Copies of the reports being discussed are available from Donna Cummins on (01642) 854151.
