Detectives are searching for a youth who assaulted a man walking through a park.
The youth approached his 31-year-old victim in Exhibition Park, Newcastle, and demanded money.
The victim, who was with a 19-year-old man, refused. The attacker punched him in the face, causing cuts to his mouth that needed five stitches. The incident happened on Monday, April 26, at about 1pm, but details have just been released.
The attacker was in his late teens, about 5ft 10in, skinny and with a dirty appearance. Witnesses are asked to contact Newcastle CID on 0191-214 6555, extension 62144
