A WOMAN was taken to hospital after an accident yesterday on the A171 road in east Cleveland.
It happened at accident blackspot Birk Brow, near Guisborough, on the main road from Teesside to Whitby and Scarborough.
The woman was released by firefighters and taken by ambulance to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
Last year, Cleveland Fire Brigade dealt with eight casualties near Birk Brow.
