Darlington Building Society NYSD Premier League Division One: Keith Martin and Martin Cull combined to send Wolviston back to the pavilion with only 69 runs on the board at Billingham Synthonia.

The visitors' batsmen never got to grips with the attack and Martin returned magnificent figures of 7-16 in 18.5 overs, with ten maidens. Cull claimed 3-28 in 18 overs.

Runs were more plentiful when Synners made first use of the wicket and posted 150-9. Simon Driver made a half century and Vinod Nair 46 while for Wolviston, fourth change bowler George Sayers returned 3-25 in nine overs.

Normanby Hall overtook the Darlington total of 161-8 with five wickets and more than six overs to spare. Mick Addison struck eight boundaries in his 54 and for Darlington, Richie Stock picked up three of the five wickets to fall for 52 runs in 17.3 overs.

Colin Biglin recorded two sixes and six fours in an unbeaten 66 when Darlington batted first. Andy Harrow and Jarvis Ramzan shared six wickets for the Hall.

Seaton Carew easily accounted for Redcar who they dismissed in 39 overs for 94 runs. More than half the total came from Andy Wetherall whose 59 included 11 fours. Batting first, Seaton ended on 218-3 from 46 with Ricky Clayton (73) and Morgan (62).

Bedale enjoyed a ten-wicket victory at home to Yarm. Mark Ellis claimed 5-28 in 13 overs and Richard Mallinder 3-18 as the visitors struggled to 106 all out in 38 overs.

In contrast, runs flowed in the Bedale innings. John Wilkin found the boundary five times, ending 40 not out and Jason Clarkson had six fours in an unbeaten 56.

Marton were another side to win comfortably. Mark Foster and Graham Shaw shared seven wickets restricting Stokesley to 118 before man-of-the-match Foster hit three sixes and as many fours, ending unbeaten on 53 as Marton won by seven wickets.

The Stanwix brothers were prominent for Barnard Castle at Marske. Michael had a six and nine fours out of 87, which, together with a half century by Andrew Toulson and 35 by John Ashworth, saw the visitors reach 232-4 in 50 overs. Rob Walker was the most successful in the Marske attack with 3-60 in 13 overs.

Raf Rashid opened the Seasiders' reply but on 38 he became one of David Stanwix's three victims. Kevin Welch though held the innings together with 49 which included two sixes and seven fours. At stumps, Marske were comfortable on 177-7.

Malcolm Muldowney (73) and Gibbon (45) led Thornaby to 212-6 against Guisborough at Fountains Garth. An innings of 64 from Allinson ensured a draw as Guisborough finished on 139-6.
