About 100 jobs could be created on Teesside as a sustainable fuel company prepares to invest in the emerging biodiesel market.
D1 Oils Limited, a North-East based developer of alternative sustainable resources, announced last night it had spent the last few years developing leading-edge technology to produce biodiesel from trees.
D1, which has signed contracts with partners around the world to start growing massive tree plantations, will expand its manufacturing unit on Teesside, creating 100 jobs over the next few years.
