THE Lumley Ladies' trophy cabinet is expanding after a second summer festival success was added to Northern League honours from the 2003/4 season.

Having won the Ryedale Tournament at Wigginton, near York, earlier in the month, the Lumley seniors dominated the Leeds City Vixens event last Sunday.

Both Lumley sides, whites and reds, qualified from their five team groups before winning through quarter and semi-final ties to meet each other in what was a little bit of an anti-climax of a final following the earlier victories.

Lumley Whites ran out 4-0 winners with goals by skipper Louise Winter, Jemma Dinning and two from Carolanne Hughes.

Sarah Price top scored for the whites, with six in the tournament, one ahead of Dinning, while Jess Harris was the most prolific of the reds.
