ANTI-WAR campaigner Yvonne Ridley brought her Euro election campaign to the region yesterday.
The former Northern Echo journalist is a North-East Euro MP candidate for Respect -the Unity Coalition.
The new party's campaign van spent the day in Darlington and Teesside with supporters handing out election material.
Ms Ridley also spoke at a rally at the Dolphin Centre, Darlington, as did the Stop the War Coalition leader John Rees.
Ms Ridley said: "We must all demand an end to the occupation and insist that the Iraqi people determine their own future and control their own resources."
