A PLAYFUL dog that has braved the streets needs a new home.
Toby, a greyhound-cross, has warmed the hearts of the people looking after him at the Darlington branch of the National Animal Sanctuary Support League with his even temper and playful spirit.
The nine-month-old dog was found wandering the streets in Bishop Auckland, looking the worse for wear and painfully thin.
But the happy fawn-coloured pet, who loves people and other dogs, is back to his normal self and hoping to catch the eye of a potential new owner.
